Make and decorate your own eye-catching frames for your favorite photos and drawings. Display them in your bedroom and give them to friends and family. For the basic frames, all you need are sturdy empty cereal boxes. Big or small.
Here’s the stuff you’ll need for one frame:

•Empty cereal box with sides larger than your photo or drawing
•Household glue
•Pasta shells, elbows, rotini, wheels
•Photo or artwork
•Gold spray paint
•Tape

Here’s the fun:

1. Cut a cereal box into two squares or rectangular shapes larger than the portrait or drawing you are framing, with one piece slightly larger than the other. The larger of the two pieces is the frame and the small piece is the backing.
2. Cut out the center of the frame to leave an opening for the art to show.
3. Now it’s time to decorate it! Put a few globs of glue randomly on the plain side of the frame front and affix pieces of the pasta shapes. Add more glue if necessary.
4. When the glue is dry, take your frame outside and have an adult spray your pasta creation in bright, bright gold paint for a very jazzy look! Let dry.
5. Attach your photo or artwork to the backing with tape. Place the frame on top and tape in place.
Now, sit back and enjoy the lovely creation!

CRAFT TALK:
So many family photos hide in our computers, scrapbooks and photo albums. While the glue and paint are drying, take a few minutes to go through photos together. Pick a year and relive the memories.
